Drop earrings have been around for thousands of years and have been a staple of our range from the beginning. The first ever Joe Cool product was a drop earring and 41 years on it remains one of our most important category’s. Though we no longer carry that very earring, an onyx bead suspended on a stem of liquid silver, our range still includes many items which endure from the early days, like bone elephants and chevron beads… and our hand painted parrot never dies. The simplicity of beads combined and threaded onto a gold or silver headpin to create an elegant drop earring remains as versatile and popular now as it ever has been. The latest designs from Joe Cool draw inspiration from an eclectic variety of sources; the playful forms and colours of Cirque du temps from exotic visuals of travelling circus troupes such as Cirque du Soleil and Circus Lumiere, Manhattan from the cityscapes of the city that bears that name and Mosaico Colori from the bazaars and interiors of Turkey and North Africa.

Over the years we have built up a huge repertoire of jewellery with drop earrings being a major part of the extensive collection. There is virtually no theme which isn’t covered. The parrot earring which remains so popular has been joined by many other beautiful hand-painted wooden creatures. Tropical fish, turtles and ‘day of the dead’ jewellery is available in a variety of bright colourful designs.

Search ‘food‘ on our website and you will be presented with everything from bananas to burgers, apples to avocados and cakes to candy… not only as drop earrings but also scarves, socks, jewellery and hair-wear. Regions are visited with the ‘Hana no hana‘ collection of Japanese themed items, Mexicana and Oceanic being examples, and flowers, plants and wildlife are all there in abundance.

Have some fun browsing our drop earrings and other products which we hope will provide you with ideas for your presentations and selections. Why not choose a word at random and see what comes up, you may be surprised!
