fans and Japanese inspired jewellery

Fans are an interesting and attractive accessory. They also is make a terrific gift item and look wonderful on display singly or in a group. This year we have added to our ‘mini collection’ and introduced several new fan designs. Japan is a great inspiration and we have translated our very popular ‘kimono patch’ mask design into stunning fans and bookmarks. Featured above is our latest fan in navy kimono design and a bookmark in deep purple.

Fans are also a source of inspiration for some pretty drop earrings. These delicate textile earrings come in an assortment of three Japanese themed designs. Combined with little gem stone beads, they capture the spirit of the ‘Sakura’ or cherry blossom season in Japan. ‘Blossom’ and ‘falling maple’, in organza complete add to the story. Complete the picture with blossom or blossom bird scarves, a lattice balsa fan and other items from the ‘Hana no Hana’ (meaning flower of flowers) collection.

Coming soon are fans featuring some of the most iconic art imagery in the world. We are excited about the new collection of ‘masterpiece’ fans which, as well as being practical items, look stunning as ‘art’ items in their own right. Detail from some of Van Gogh’s most beautiful paintings such as Irises and Sunflowers are gorgeous. The floral theme continues with Monet’s ‘Waterlilies’. In contrast, Klimt’s famous ‘The Kiss’ shimmers a green gold richness and, of course, we have ‘The great Wave’, taken from the woodblock print by the great Japanese master, Hokusai. Renaissance Italy comes in the form of the fabulous ‘Birth of Venus’ – that most enduring, classic work by Botticelli. We hope you’ll enjoy the selection, we think its fantastic (excuse the pun).

Some of the artworks mentioned are also captured in the ‘masterpiece’ and ‘iconic’ sock ranges and many more besides. From Warhol and Haring through Mackintosh and Munch to Vermeer and even Ancient Egypt, there are so many to choose from.

Some timeless and positive themes to inspire and help you launch back into the summer months and return to business as normal. Check out the website for updates and availability.
