Plaid perfection – tantalising tartans for all occasions!

Plaid is the perfect pattern as we move through the seasons into the cooler months and towards the festive seasons. This year at Joe Cool our tartan accessory range is bigger than ever. Most popular is our best selling range of plaid socks in a wide range of classic and contemporary colours and styles. Muted ‘country’ shades of green, burgundy and grey evoke the highland lochs, forests and glens of northern Scotland. Vibrant scarlet, pink and yellow tones bring a more modern vibe to this timeless weave. Simpler styles are also in evidence with a traditional ‘Stewart’ tartan sock and plain black or burgundy featuring a tasteful chequered strip.

Of course, the ‘surprise’ latest best selling accessory is the essential face-mask. We have designed and developed an interesting range of styles in 100% cotton. Together, with some of our small scale manufacturers, we have curated a collection that is both wearable and environmentally sensitive. Plaid and tartans feature with a ‘Burberry’ inspired weave in classic beige, strong pink and true turquoise blue. We also offer that perennial favourite, ‘Royal Stewart’ red for those with a Scottish bent, or attraction to the glam punk aesthetics of Vivian Westwood and Alexander McQueen!

To compliment your sock and mask collections, we have a wide variety of tartan jewellery items. Acrylic tartan bangles, hoop earrings and big studs have a distinctly retro vibe. In an assortment of six colours they bring a fun twist to the plaid concept. There are discreet fabric covered cabachon stud earrings, sweet tartan heart studs and a delightful bow earring for subtle embellishment.

Hair-wear is covered with wired ‘tie-top’ wraparound band, large bow barrette and a scrunchie in a classic red textile print.
