Tropical Birds and flowers – vintage prints and materials

Tropical birds and flowers feature this season in interesting subtle colours and vintage style prints.Wonderful resin brooches shimmer and intrigue. Parrot, Toucan and Hummingbird are an assemblage of clever marble, pearl and Bakelite effects. Pastel blue, peach, cream, petrol and brown combine to create a novel interpretation of this exotic theme.

Tropical prints adorn some of our latest scarves, all with a slightly different twist to the ‘standard’ exotic colours. Pretty pale blue, pink and green form the backdrop to illustrative painted Toucans and Parrots which mingle with Hibiscus and Palm fronds. In contrast, the bright Toucan scarf is a graphic retro print drawing on 1960’s furnishing fabric and Bauhaus textiles.

Parrots also feature on one of our best selling compact mirrors. Two charming bird couples boasting bright blue and green plumage, in an image which is reminiscent of old zoological book plates, decorate this accessory. The Flamingo parade compact is another ‘birdy’ alternative. Pink Flamingos, large and small in an assortment of twelve designs cover the ‘macaron’ style compacts.These can be found in the All Creatures collection with lots of other flowers and feathers in any number of tropical designs. From earrings and rings, through purses and patches to pens and pins – birds, jungle creatures and tropical flowers abound.

Another animal themed scarf new this season is ‘animal parade’, a lovely print with Giraffes, Elephants, Zebras, Monkeys and Iguanas. Build a safari story with the fabulous acrylic Elephant brooch, tropical fish bracelets,fish and enamel Elephant studs.
